Hi I'm Christine J. Shanks,
Associate Professor & Program Chair of Graphic Design at Tompkins Cortland Community College and Lecturer in the Digital Multimedia Design program, School of Visual Arts, for Penn State University. Welcome to my education website.

I feel working professionally and being a practicing creative is important to teaching and personal development. You can view my fine art or commercial nature work on websites I built and customized with code using various CMS. Some of my other projects are located on Behance.

I am an image maker, designer and educator. I feel at home on the computer and working by hand in the studio.

Some of my specialties are design (web, interactive and print), motion graphics, printmaking (utilizing both traditional and digital processes), and photography (alternative processes, digital and film).

For almost 20 years I have shared my expertise with students as a professor in higher education, as well as through workshops and lessons for students of all ages.
