OKI Data donated a C941dn printer to The Art Institute of Philadelphia. The printer has a white toner option that we have been using in the portfolio class with colored stock. I was appointed the lead faculty member in integrating the printer into our graphic design curriculum and developing exhibition opportunities for the students and alumni to show off their OKI prints to the public. The printer has been a valuable experience for the students and alumni, being able to get hands-on with printing, rather than having to hand off files to a service bureau, has sparked their creativity and experimentation. They have also gotten excellent training in trouble shooting and the finer points of printing.
