RESEARCH:
Some things to consider when designing:
• Theme of Bicentennial: Faces, Places and Spaces
• Dates: 1817-2017
Concepts to explore:
• Community – often symbolized by linking things (pattern, line, repetition)
• Nature
• Sustainability
• Farming
• Creativity and Uniqueness
• Past to Present – Past: Serif Typeface, Emblem, Banner, Carved look, Hand Drawn style
• Present: simplicity, Sans Serif Type, Openness (white space), abstraction
Remember a logo is just a mark. It doesn’t have to tell an entire story. It should have a simple concept and distill ideas down into a simple relatable mark.
